I Just Can't Get To Sleep by Jarf

This started off as a chilling little ambient track. But then one fateful night I was playing around with a few VSTi's and I ended up with a few choice sounds to throw at it.

It has a video too!

Been playing with songs

Thought I'd try my hand at creating a mashup. It needs a bit of reworking, some of the boring parts need padding out a bit but I like it personally.

The Nintendo WiiU

My initial reaction:

In all seriousness though, despite the questionable naming conventions (who thought you could get MORE questionable than just "Wii") it actually looks bloody amazing. I can see it now, Xbox 360 and Wii U living side by side in my living room in perfect harmony!

Beautiful 1920 x 1200 backgrounds

I have a few wallpapers that I go through and I occasionally have my friends asking me to give them a copy so I thought I'd upload some of my favourites here.

Niko Bellic vs. Carmageddon

I haven't slept since Sunday but who gives a damn. We made a sequel to "Don't mind me just negating the laws of physics lol"!

And here it is!!!

If you wish to play Carmageddon for yourself then feel free to download the modified handling.dat right here. All you have to do is plop that into your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto iv\GTAIV\common\data" folder overwriting your existing handling.dat (might wanna back that up first) then you're good to go!

Global war on drugs a failure (still)

Again and again we hear reports that the war on drugs is failing. Surely if marijuana was legalised then the savings from drug related law enforcement combined with the income generated from the taxation of legal marijuana would be an incredible boon to any government providing the means to educate and rehabilitate drug abusers and addicts as opposed to incarcerating the otherwise innocent majority for recreational smoking whilst at the same time taking a source of income away from organised crime.

In my opinion the recreational smoking of marijuana is far less harmful than the prevalently legal alcohol. I don't think I've ever had to deal with an aggressive stoner on a night out. I believe that marijuana could become more popular than alcohol over time if legalised and would definitely provide a better atmosphere across the country.

Smoke too much weed and you just get hungry and/or pass out, if you're really unlucky then you pull a whitey which can be cured in advance by drinking water and eating mints when the first signs appear. Worst case scenario, you throw up. You'll feel just fine afterwards however. Drinking too much alcohol on the other hand... well I think we all have our own personal stories with that drug. Infact I find marijuana to be an ideal hangover cure on the rare occasion that I get drunk enough to warrant it.

Regardless it seems as though this article, much like every article before it regarding the same issue, has already been buried and is in the process of being forgotten. Maybe I'll see the decriminalisation of marijuana in the UK within my lifetime. Hell if I'm lucky I may even see a complete legalisation of the drug, but that's being a bit hopeful.

If you wish to watch an interesting documentary detailing how marijuana became illegal in the United States of America then have a gander below:

Duke Nukem Forever demo... sucks

So Duke Nukem Forever is finally nearing release and people are playing the demo already. Here's my take on the game that many people thought would never be released.

Short version: It sucks.

Slightly less short version: This game would have been fantastic had it been released between 1997 and 2004. The graphics, gameplay and physics all feel dated and clunky. It feels good to see Duke, his arsenal and the his old foes back in action but they simply haven't done Duke justice. Regenerative health and a two weapon carry limit? Duke Nukem: Modern Warfare has arrived!

My new old school revival hearthrobs now are Serious Sam 3: BFE and Carmageddon: Reincarnation. Here's hoping they don't let me down as much as the Dukester did.

Here are some screenshots, click for bigger.

A couple of my underrated YouTube videos

When I'm making videos I'm not thinking about views, it's just something I do for fun. Admittedly though when something like HEAVY IS HAMSTER or that Saxton Haaaaaaaaaaale video that only took a minute or two to create gets more views than the majority of my videos it's a little bit irritating. So here in no particular order are a couple videos that I think deserve more views!

First up has to be our partial playthrough of Synergy. Sheer retardation shining through at its finest!

This took myself and two friends 2 days, one to record the footage and the next to edit it all together. It's an epic car chase where Luis commandeers a golf caddy and takes to the road!

Worms Armageddon plus my drunken friends equals hilarity.

I'll leave it there but if you ever get the chance then have a quick gander at my YouTube channel and check out the lesser known videos!
